The Lordโs Prayer
Our father which art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debters.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil!
Amen.

The Lion and the small Mouse
A little mouse ran on top of a sleeping lion. The lion woke up and gripped the mouse with its big paw.
โI am sorry!โ said the mouse, โI was careless. Give me my life and I will be forever grateful. I did not want to anger you.โ
The lion generously let the mouse leave and said to himself with a smile: โHow might a mouse thank a lion?โ
A while later that same mouse heard in its hole the dreadful roar of a lion, became curious and ran towards it. There it found its benefactor inside a net.
Immediately the mouse ran to the net and bit through the knots. Because of this the lion could free itself. This is how the mouse thanked the big heart of the lion.

The Bat
A bat fell into the grass. Immediately a weasel jumped towards the bat and wanted to eat it. โOh,โ cheeped the bat, โwhat do you want? What are you doing? Oh, let me life!โ
โI canโt. I hate you. Because I hate all birds,โ snarled the weasel. The bat thought a little while. โI am not a bird. I donโt like birds. I am a mouse,โ it swore. Thereupon the weasel gave the bat its life.
A little later the bat was again unlucky and fell down. Again a weasel wanted to bite its throat. โYou should be eaten right now,โ it said, โI hate all mice and I also hate you.โ
โBut I am not a mouse. I do not like mice. I am a bird,โ swore the bat. โOh, I am sorry,โ answered the weasel, and truly the bat continued to life.

The two Frogs in the Milk
The pond of two frogs had dried up due to the summer heat, which lead the two frogs to leave. At dusk they arrived at a farmhouse, where they found a big milk bowl. This bowl had been put down in order to become butter. They jumped inside and feasted happily.
When they were no longer thirsty and wanted to go outside, they were astonished that they could not! They could not climb the slippery walls of the bowl and always slid back into the milk.
For a long time they toiled in vain and their legs became slowly weak when one frog said: โAll pedalling is futile. Destiny is against us. I will not continue!โ Thereafter that frog did not move its body, slid to the bottom of the bowl and died in the milk.
However, its comrade fought desperately until late at night. At this time it felt the first hard butter stone under its feet, pushed with its last strength and was relieved to finally arrive outside.
